POJOKSINEMA – Film aksi seru “Sheriff: Narko Integriti” karya Syafiq Yusof, bakal dirilis di tanah air mulai 23 Mei mendatang.

Hanya saja pemutaran film ini terbatas di jaringan CGV, Cinepolis serta Platinum dan beberapa lainnya.

Film ini sebenarnya cukup berpotensi dengan letupan hasratnya menjadi sebuah genre aksi seru yang memiliki rasa Hollywood. Namun, sepertinya proses pembuatan film ini juga teramat cepat, sehingga bagi saya (penulis) atmosfer thriller dan twistnya tidak didukung oleh kinerja plot yang ‘garang’.

Konsep twistnya tidak ada masalah bagi saya, tapi bagaimana penulis dan sutradara berupaya melumerkan twist juga bukan pekerjaan mudah. Belum lagi persoalan jahit-menjahit di dapur editing untuk urusan twisty,  harus tampak detail.

Film “Sheriff: Narko Integriti” sebenarnya tak perlu terlalu lama memainkan durasi filmnya hingga 2 jam lebih. Bila saja di kompres lagi menjadi 100 menit, maka aroma twist film ini akan sangat terasa tanpa ‘dragging’.

Semakin panjangan durasi ini, bukan lagi pada pola treatment cerita untuk mengajak penonton menebak-nebak siapa penjahat, pengkhianat, dan siapa dalangnya? -meski unuk saya tidak ada yang ‘greget’.

Maklum, sebagai penyuka film penuh aroma twist dan ketegangan, tentu saya bisa membedakan mana yang ‘berdaging’ dan mana yang biasa saja.

Formula twisty “Sheriff: Narko Integriti”  menyerupai film Infernal Affairs (2002) milik Andrew Lau dan Alan Mak. Infernal Affairs yang dibintangi Andy Lau dan Tony Leung Chiu-wai.

Hollywood juga mendaur ulang film tersebut dengan judul The Departed (2006), karya Martin Scorsese yang dibintangi Leonardo DiCaprio dan Matt Damon.
