POJOKSINEMA – Film drama-thriller-action, Sweet Girl, dengan kejutan twist menjelang babak akhir cerita telah melayang layang menjadi selipan skrip yang mengagetkan karena kegagalannya membentuk desain cerita yang logis!
Penampilan Jason Momoa ( berperan sebagai Ray )dengan baku hantamnya, terlalu disayangkan hanya biasa biasa saja, bahkan terlalu banyak scene laga Jason Momoa yang ditampilkan dengan rapat sekali.
Film Sweet Girl, yang dirilis Netflix -besutan Brian Andrew Mendoza, tersuguh bak kemasan reality show ; kisah seorang istri dan ibu yang meninggal akibat kanker berkaitan dengan aksi kejahatan sindikasi monopoli obat kanker dan sistem farmasi Amerika serikat yang digambarkan penuh kekuasaan korup.
Sweet Girl pun mengandalkan Jason Momoa untuk memacu detak jantung dalam pelarian dan perburuannya demi membalas dendam kematian sang istri.
Begitupun penampilan bintang muda Isabela Merced ( berperan sebagai Rachel putri semata wayang Ray ) yang sejak awal stabil menjadi motivator Sweet Girl untuk memuncakkan adrenalin, harus mengakhiri perannya menjadi penjahat sesungguhnya yang penuh dendam memburu keadilan, tanpa disangka.
Awalnya saya ( penulis ) berharap penuh bahwa isu mengangkat cerita tentang praktek amoral bisnis obat kanker akan menjadi bongkahan yang hancur untuk mengupas tentang bagaimana kerangka perawatan kesehatan bagi masyarakat miskin ( utamanya) Amerika Serikat yang dibuat rusak dengan sistem yang korup oleh para pelaku bisnis farmasi di negeri Paman sam.
Alhasil isu ini terlalu samar diantarkan oleh penulis cerita Philip Eisner dan Gregg Hurwitz.
Penampilan Jason Momoa dan Isabela Merced sebenarnya telah cukup menggoda dengan dialog-dialog cerdas dan komedinya.
