Shock Wave 2 : aksinya lebih menyenangkan dari film pertama

Poon terlibat dalam sebuah aksi teror bom berkekuatan besar. Sebelum akhirnya (nahasnya) ia terkena dampak ledakan di lokasi yang menyebabkan dirinya mengalami koma panjang dan amnesia yang parah.

Bekas teman kerja Poon yang juga sesama penjinak bom dinas Kepolisian Hongkong, Teung Cheuk-man  ( diperankan oleh Sean Lau ), masih tak percaya apa yang telah dilakukan Poon.

Setelah sadar dari koma dengan derita amnesianya, Teung berusaha keras mencari tahu dari Poon. Siapa dalang dibalik banyak serangan teror bom di Hongkong sembari membantu mengembalikan ingatan Poon.

Chemistry dua aktor laga ini adalah yang terbaik di tampilkan oleh sutradara Herman Yau.

Namun demikian suguhan aksi seru Shock Wave 2, terlalu rentan untuk berkompromi dengan plot-plot twist film ini.

Alhasil, Shock Wave 2, meski lebih menyenangkan dari film pertamanya – terlalu datar dengan keseruan twist-nya.

Tapi untuk film aksi, Shock Wave 2 tetap lebih unggul dari deretan film film aksi pabrikan Hongkong dan rasa Hollywood-nya tetap ada loh. (Q2)
