Kisah Nyata "Air Mata Mualaf" Yang Dinanti Penontonnya

” Ini film drama religi yang sangat berbeda , baik itu cerita dan konfliknya sendiri. Kami tidak mengangkat isu-isu yang umum. Tapi nilai komersilnya film ini adalah problem pribadi seorang Angie sebelum dan saat menjadi mualaf. Angie harus menyelesaikan banyak masalah yang sempat menjadi ‘keraguan’ batinnya tentang apa yang telah ia ‘Imani’. Air Mata Mualaf adalah sebuah nilai-nilai humanis yang kami kemas sangat berbeda dengan drama lainnya, ” papar Dewi Amanda.

” Namun tentunya kami juga menggarapnya dengan baik. Yah sebagai filmmaker, secara intuisi kan saya juga berharap film ini menjadi antusiasme penonton film nasional. Secara konsep kami ingin film ini juga bisa mengedukasi secara moral,”

Ada upaya keras dari film ini yang sarat menarik, yakni bagaimana Air Mataf Mualaf membuka bentangan perbedaan lanskap cerita. Sejatinya tak mesti film drama religi selalu dibungkus dengan daya tarik isu yang umum dan membungkus ‘kecengengan’ agar mendapat empati pasar.

Lama Tak Muncul, Arta Breda Tampil Jadi Mertua Materialistis

Dewi mengatakan film ini membangun konfliknya dengan alasan yang sangat kuat. “Ketika seorang manusia resah dengan keyakinan sebelumnya. Lalu ia hijrah, namun justru ujian untuknya datang dari sana sini. Jadi bagaimana kami menjual konflik internal dan eksternal film ini dengan daya pikat yang komersil. Angie bukan sekedar berhadapan dengan masalah saat ia hidup dengan keyakinan sebelumnya. Tapi ia juga harus berhadapan dengan masalah lainnya ketika menjadi mualaf,. Bagaimana ujungnya dengan penyelesaiannya? Yah tunggu filmnya tayang saja yah, ” Jelasnya.

Produser Aji Fauzi mengatakan bahwa film juga harus datang dari ‘currency’. Jadi bagaimana seorang investor melihat  nilai komersial dari sumber cerita, katakan demikian. Sumber cerita ini juga harus dieksekusi dengan penulis naskah yang bagus lalu berlanjut kepada bintang yang juga tepat.

” Siapa yang layak menyutrdarai film ini, juga menggunakan azas pertimbangan dalam memilih.  Flavournya untuk siapa yang (layak) menyutrdarainya? Nah terakhir adalah peran gesit marketing bisnisnya. Jadi kalau ada film laku di pasaran faktornya banyak, termasuk currency tadi, ”

” Air Mata Mualaf adalah sebuah proses panjang dalam membuat keputusan untuk bisa menjadi sebuah karya. Saya juga berharap apa yang terjadi dalam pesan film Air Mata Mualaf sangat bisa diterima pasar nantinya. Semoga saja berjalan baik pasar penontonnya, ” pungkasnya. (Q2)
