POJOKSINEMA – Sejatinya “The Goldfinger” tak lebih sebagai sarana reuni dua aktor kawakan Andy Lau dan Tony Leung serta penulis Felix Chong dari waralaba Infernal Affairs.

Namun demikian “The Goldfinger” bukan cerita yang penuh lika-liku kejahatan aparat hukum dengan twist menariknya seperti yang terjadi dalam Infernal Affairs.  Film ini bercerita tentang Henry Cheng (Tony Leung), Taipan real-estate Hongkong yang runtuh di tahun 1980an.

Cheng dengan kejayaannya sebagai Taipan kondang dan berjaya harus berhadapan dengan banyak tudingan kejahatan dari Komisi Independen Anti Korupsi (ICAC). Agen penyidik ICAC, Lau Kay-yeun (Andy Lau),  teramat gigih ingin meringkus Cheng selama puluhan tahun.
