Sensasi Horor "You'll Never Find Me" Dengan Kesuramannya

“You’ll Never Find Me” memperlakukan diri sebagai genre horor monoton. Plotnya mengalir dalam dialog dan tingkah prilaku dua karakter serba samar.

Karakter Patrick sangat tidak stabil, sehingga anda bertanya-tanya apa yang sedang ia lakukan. Ia berada dalam energi paranoia versus insomnia.

Terkadang ia waspada terhadap tanda potensi bahaya, tapi juga suka terjebak dalam ritmenya. Anehnya, tamu tak diundang itu justru merasa nyaman berada dalam trailer yang penuh atmosfer menakutkan itu.

Sesekali Mengerikan

Penulis skenario  Indianna Bell yang juga berduet menyutradarai film ini bersama Josiah Allen setidaknya berhasil memberikan polesan komersil yang cukup luar biasa. Betapa bell dan Allen memiliki tantangan hebat untuk membuat film ini jauh kedalam dengan misteri dan absurditasnya.

Duet Bell dan Allen juga berhasil membangun karakter Patrick dengan sangat terperinci. Sosok Patrick yang terperangkap ke dalam paranoia, imajinasi kelam karena insomnianya sendiri.

Sinematografi gaya Maxx Corkindale, dikombinasikan dengan desain set yang suram- paling tidak kita melihat kekayaan tatanan ‘Mise en Scene’ yang tervisual dengan indah.

Entah apa yang hendak disampaikan premis “You’ll Never Find Me”, mungkin sederhananya adalah gambaran kepada diri kita sendiri. Masa lalu terkadang membuat jiwa kita menggelayut di dalamnya dan sulit dilepaskan jika tidak pernah mengambil sikap untuk Hijrah!

Dan begitulah sensasi horor “You’ll Never Find Me” dengan kesuramannya, yang sesekali terlalu mengerikan untuk diresapi. (Q2)
