“Twisters” harus mampu melibas rekor box office

POJOKSINEMA – Setelah dua puluh delapan tahun rilis, Twister (1996) , akhirnya muncul dengan aksi petualangan seru lainnya. Sekuel film berjudul “Twisters” karya sutradara Lee Isaac Chung rilis trailer perdananya.

Secara visual, Chung masih terpesona dengan kedahnyata film box office Twister karya Jan de Bont,  yang  diperankan aktor Bill Paxton dan Helen Hunt itu. Kisah dalam “Twisters” masih membungkus petualangan seru persaingan kelompok pemburu Tornado yang mematikan di Oklahoma.

Kali ini dalam sekuelnya, Chung menggaet aktor Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) dan Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing). Mereka akan memulai petualangan aksi memburu Tornado yang sarat ketegangan dan mematikan.

Melihat trailernya, “Twisters” dengan simbol film karaktersangat berhasrat untuk melebihi dari film pertamanya. Meski potongan adegan yang disajikan, masih menampakkan hubungan cita rasa film pendahulunya.

Bagi para penggemar film bencana seperti Twister – yang juga banyak difilmkan dengan beragam judul dan tema – pasti berharap banyak akan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembuatannya. Seberapa banyak muatan efek-efek mahal yang bakal diendapkan dalam sekuel ini?

Twister di tahun 1996 menjadi fenomenal sebagai film bencana yang banyak menginspirasi filmmaker dan sineas dunia. Para pakar teknologi di dapur post-produksi Hollywood berjuang keras melahirkan banyak terobosan dalam membuat formula jitu untuk film berbasis bencana.
