POJOKSINEMA – Untuk film bergenre elevator pitch ‘65’ memang biasa-biasa saja. Tidak ada yang berlebih dengan durasi 90 menit meski terasa seperti perjalanan 65 juta tahun.

Pilot antariksa, Mills (Adam Driver), mengucapkan selamat tinggal kepada istri dan putrinya yang sakit  sebelum dia melanjutkan misi dua tahun. Babak awal setelah Mills menemukan Koa, gadis kecil yang selamat (Ariana Greenblatt ).

Mereka  berduaharus melintasi medan berbahaya ke pod pelarian. Sejak duet Mills dan Koa bertahan hidup disebuah planet antah berantah , film inipun menjadi petualangan dan survival yang  biasa saja.

Tapi ’65’ tetap efektif berjalan sebagai elevator pitch. Beberapa kali film ini mencoba membagun ketegangan dengan dinosaurus menakutkan, namun gagal histeris.

Alih-alih membangun ketegangan yang sebenarnya, malah hanya jumpscare menjengkelkan. Dalam babak terakhir, Beck dan Woods lebih condong dengan kekonyolan premis mereka.

Dengan membuat alasan ketegangan baru yang sangat miris. Yakni hujan meteor yang siap menghantam planet Mills dan Koa tinggal.

Sekali lagi ketegangan yang sangat tak bisa dijual. Memang tak ada yang baru dari ‘65’ hampir banyak adegan dan gambar telah dipelopori oleh banyak film.

Makhluk purba Dinosaurus juga telah di pelopori Jurassic Park, seseram apapun yang di visualkan ‘65’.
