POJOKSINEMA – Korporasi film Merak Abadi Productions bakal melakukan pengambilan gambar perdana di Jakarta untuk sebuah film berjudul “Air Mata Mualaf”.

Selebihnya sekitar tiga puluh persen, pengambilan  gambar dilakukan di Australia. Film ini dibintangi Acha Septriasa sebagai pemeran utama berlakon Angie, perempuan mualaf yang harus menghadapi segala masalah hidupnya.

Cerita dari kisah nyata ini cukup menarik ketika Dewi Amanda sebagai eksekutif produser membuat celah lain dari banyak genre drama religi selama ini.

Film “Air Mata Mualaf” memberi catatan sendiri bagi para penggemar drama religi, bahwa tak semua film berbasis religi harus mengangkat isu klasik tentang perbedaan sebagai instalasi plot.

Demikian juga, ketika banyak cerita drama religi yang mengangkat tema tentang isu poligami, maka “Air Mata Mualaf” justru tidak berhasrat menggunakan desai cerita serupa.
